A wide range of accessories of great benefit to the ambitious user
Inclined eyepiece adaptor
For BQ 900 & BX 900 slit lamps
Adjusting the viewing angle at 20 degrees on the slit lamp allows the examiner to adopt a more natural neck position.
Yellow filter
For BQ 900, BP 900 & BX 900 slit lamps
After fluorescein instillation and cobalt blue light illumination, visualization with a yellow barrier filter provides higher contrast images
Stereo variator
By reducing the angle of stereoscopic observation, the stereo variator facilitates the examination of the fundus, peripheral parts of the retina and the vitreous, even under unfavourable conditions such as high myopia and small pupils. The reduction of the angle enlarges the stereoscopic field of view, maintaining depth information in the stereoscopic observation.
Second observer tubes
For BQ 900 slit lamp
Haag-Streit’s second observer tubes are designed to permit professional colleagues, students or technicians to participate in the examination. There are two versions of second observer tubes available: a short version for co-observing in seated position, and a long version for co-observing in upright position.
Beam splitters
For BQ 900 slit lamp
The beam splitter diverts a portion of the light to secondary attachments such as the second observer tube, video, or digital cameras. Beam splitters are available in different versions. The beam splitter for cameras diverts 70% of the light to the secondary attachment, while the other—for co-observation under equal conditions—diverts only 50% of the light. Video or digital cameras can be connected to the beam splitter with a range of C-mount adapters, which offer different focus length for variable sensor sizes.
Chin rest cups for headrests
For BQ 900, BP 900, BX 900, BI 900 & BM 900 slit lamps
The chin rest cup for Haag-Streit slit lamps is a removable, easy to clean, easy to disinfect and therefore safe, chin rest cup. Offering a great alternative to chin rest papers, the rest cup mold fits perfectly into the existing shape of the chinrest, and stays in a secure position.
Eyepiece with crosshair reticule
For BQ 900, BP 900, BX 900, BI 900 & BM 900 slit lamps
The use of this eyepiece ensures perfect focus of the microscope image onto the camera by compensating for user accommodation.
Eyepiece with McIntyre comparison grid
For BQ 900, BP 900, BX 900 & BM 900 slit lamps
This eyepiece provides a reticle in the optics which shows a grid with different density patterns. These patterns allow the observer to estimate the cell density of the endothelium. It is recommended for use in combination with the contrast-enhancing 2.2 x contact lens to provide enhanced viewing of the endothelium.
25 x Magnification eyepieces
For BI 900 & BM 900 slit lamps
The standard eyepieces of these slit lamps provide magnifications of 10 x and 16 x. For higher magnification, Haag-Streit offers optional 25 x magnification eyepieces which provides an overall magnification of the microscope of 25 x and 40 x.
LED illumination upgrade
For BQ 900, BP 900, & BM 900 slit lamps
For all older Haag-Streit slit lamps still operating with tungsten illumination, we offer simple upgrade packages to LED illumination.
Large protection shield
For BQ 900, BP 900 & BI 900 slit lamps
The larger shield is an elaborated and professional solution for Haag-Streit slit lamps that does not hinder the operation. It is easy to install and covers a wide area of the slit lamp while continuing to provide access to the main features of the device. The special angled shape of the shield and the cut-outs for the arms allow comfortable working with the slit lamp.
Small protection shield
For BQ 900, BP 900 & BM 900 slit lamps
A compact shield provides the minimum protection.
Ellbow rest
For BQ 900, BP 900, BX 900, BI 900 & BM 900
Comfortable operation with contact lenses. Can be stacked to obtain different working heights.
Short illumination mirror
For BQ 900, BP 900, BI 900, BM 900 & BX 900 slit lamps
When working with small illumination angles (e.g. for fundus examination), the standard mirror obscures one of the optical paths partially or completely. The short mirror offers an unobstructed view, but requires that the illumination is tilted by 10° in order to ensure the complete light patch on the mirror.
Accessory mounting pin
This accessory mounting pin is a standard interface for laser adapters to be mounted on the BQ or BP 900 slit lamps.
For BQ 900 & BP 900 slit lamps
Accessory mounting base
For BM 900 slit lamp
This accessory mounting pin is a standard interface for tonometer and laser adapters to be mounted on the BM 900 slit lamp.
Accessory mounting base
For BI 900 slit lamp
This accessory mounting pin is a standard interface for tonometer and laser adapters to be mounted on the BI 900 slit lamp.
Video adapter f75
For BQ 900 slit lamp
With the BQ 900 video adapter, it is possible to add video or digital cameras to the beam splitter. We recommend the f75 adaptor for 12.7 mm / 1/2 inch sensors. Integrated in the adapter is an aperture control, which allows you to easily control the depth of field.
Video adapter f56
For BQ 900 slit lamp
With the BQ 900 video adapter it is possible to add video or digital cameras to the beam splitter. We recommend the f75 adaptor for 19.5 mm / 1/3 inch sensors. Integrated in the adapter is an aperture control which allows to control the depth of field.
Background illumination fixed
For BQ 900, BP 900 & BI 900 slit lamps
A bright and even background illumination is an important factor for all imaging applications on the slit lamp. All LED illumination heads are pre-configured, so that only the fiber optic need to be connected. The fixed variant has the advantage that it does not restrict the operation area between slit lamp and patient.
Background illumination pivoting
For BQ 900, BP 900 & BI 900 slit lamps
A bright and even background illumination is an important factor for all imaging applications on the slit lamp. All LED illumination heads are pre-configured so that only the fiber optic need to be connected. The pivoting variant has the advantage that it can be set independently from the slit illumination.
